About Me

Hello! I’m Leanne, a recent graduate from Newcastle University, with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in English Literature with Creative Writing. I like taking selfies, long walks on the beach, and posting long-winded descriptions of myself online. In case it’s ever relevant, I’m also bisexual, a Hufflepuff, and a cat person.

This blog is, essentially, my portfolio for prospective freelance jobs, either proof-reading, writing commissions, or editing. If you are one of those potential employers, then hi! Please hire me, I promise I’m good at what I do.

If that’s not quite persuasive enough – which, I daresay, it’s not – take a look through the content of this blog itself. In it you will find short stories, excerpts from novels, and articles that I write about some of my favourite topics: (Feminism, Politics, LGBT+ issues, and Literature, among others)

This right here is me:

Thank you for taking the time to read this page. I hope you like what you see here. If you do, I hope you’ll consider clicking the follow button of hiring me for some freelance work! If not, then please send me a message letting me know how my writing can be improved.

My E-mail, for those interested, is leanne_egan@live.co.uk.

I also run another blog which you may be interested in, which is the basis of a project that I am only just beginning to get up and running. The URL is here. The project itself is called LearnLit productions, a free audiobook platform aimed at university students who may not have time to complete their reading lists. I provide free audiobooks from works in the public domain, focusing on some of the most studied texts in the curriculum, and reading them as quickly as you need, but still as clearly as you’d like.
